  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup tomato sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 6 large flour tortillas
  • Butter or oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Brown the ground beef and drain excess fat.
  2. Add chopped onion and cook for about 3 minutes, then add minced garlic and sauté for an additional minute.
  3. Stir in chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, pepper, and tomato sauce; simmer for 3–4 minutes.
  4. Assemble quesadillas by placing cheese on one half of each tortilla, spooning beef mixture over it, and topping with more cheese before folding.
  5. In a skillet over medium heat, cook each quesadilla until golden brown and crispy, roughly 2–3 minutes per side.
  6. Slice into wedges and serve warm.
