  • ½ tsp baking powder

  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted (for filling)
  • ⅓ cup brown sugar
  • 1½ tsp cinnamon
  • ½ cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 1 tbsp milk
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Cream together softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Mix in the egg and vanilla until well combined.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually blend into wet ingredients until fully incorporated.
  3. Roll out dough between parchment paper to about ¼-inch thick.
  4. Mix melted butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon in a separate bowl; spread evenly over rolled-out dough.
  5. Carefully roll into a log shape; wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  6. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  7. Slice chilled log into rounds about ¼-inch thick and place on lined baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are lightly golden; allow to cool on wire racks.
  9. For the glaze, mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract; drizzle over cooled cookies before serving.
