  • ¼ cup chopped pecans

  • ¼ cup white sugar
  • ¾ cup packed dark brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 3 tablespoons maple syrup
  • ⅔ cup pumpkin puree, blotted
  • 1 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F (163°C).
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, ground cloves, ground cinnamon, and salt.
  3. Cream the softened butter with white and brown sugars until fluffy.
  4. Mix in the egg, maple syrup, and blotted pumpkin puree until smooth.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture until just combined.
  6. Fold in half of the chopped pecans.
