  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 (8 oz) package of cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 (10 oz) can diced tomatoes with green chilies, drained
  • 1 (15 oz) can refried beans
  • 2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup green onions, chopped for garnish
  • Tortilla chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef along with diced onion and minced garlic until fully cooked; drain excess grease.
  3. Lower the heat and stir in softened cream cheese and sour cream until smooth.
  4. Add drained diced tomatoes, refried beans, chili powder, cumin, salt, and black pepper; stir until well combined.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top. Bake for 20–25 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  6. Garnish with chopped green onions and serve hot with tortilla chips.
